I Hate Weekends

Contributed by Gatorclan3 on Tuesday, 23rd May 2006 @ 04:22:56 PM in AEST
Topic: ChildrensPoetry

I wish school were every day,
So I would never have to play.
Two days off, it’s just not fair.
No homework to do, no papers to share.

While other kids are having fun,
I’m home wishing Monday would come.
The days pass slowly, each hour drags by.
Who invented the weekend anyway? And why?

Two days without learning.
What’s a kid to do?
Just the thought of no school
Makes me feel really blue.

And if that’s not enough
Then along comes summer.
Two long months off,
Man! What a bummer!

This was fun to read. Some one who loves school that much? hahaha If you were like me, I had to go to school on Saturday morning when I was a kid. I hated it. My parents forced me to go to a language school to learn German. I hated missing Saturday morning cartoons. I am glad I can speak a second language today though.

Good little poem.
