Can't wait until these days die
Hoping the seconds will pass me by
I can't stand the sound
When she cries
She's frightened to death
But so am I
Hiding behind all my lies
Trying to speak
But it comes out a sigh
All the loose ends I cannot tie
A whisper escapes. It cries out
"Why?"

(You hold me down like a child clinging to my thigh,
Cry not, for a morning greatly desired is nigh)
