I sat there, gazing out my window
Propping up my elbows on the window sill
Everything around me so still
I pondered till
The thoughts of him
All came to mind
I thought love was yet to find
Then I found you
and you took every fear
That came to my mind
We were one of a kind
Our love had once shined
But that yet to change
As I was later left behind
Whenever we had entwined
Our fingers, it always felt right
Filling us both with delight
Making us feel like we were in the spotlight
Of each others lives
We’ve both been cold
As we’ve both been told
To each other that we liked someone else
But every time it can back down to us
Every time I shot for that basket
Most of the time I made it
This time I missed, hitting the rim
And bouncing off, rolling away
Having nothing left to say
I once felt safe from all alarm
But now I see another girl in your arms
Entwining hands like we once did
I guess its time to close the lid
Because now I think it’s really over
I guess you’re really sober
About this one
Too bad you don’t know
I still have those same feelings
That I’ve always had for you
Love

It is a very soft romantic poem with a tint of pain in it. It is true my friend love is a ball game some time we basket it and some time we hit the rim; you have said it well.
