Hey, Mom,
Guess what?
I'm not coming back....
YOU drove me away.
Yeah, I had my own reasons for leaving....
But when I had the chance,
I was gonna come back and do right....
You know how my mind works....
How I sometimes get things mixed up....
Since when is it
MY fault?
MY fault I got the days mixed up?
Come on, can't you think up one better?
How about when you told all those people
I sat around on my butt all day
And never looked for a job?
They knew me better than that....
I was job hunting everyday except weekends....
And when I was still there,
I had 14 applications in....
Try again....
So whose fault is it that I've decided not to come back?
Let me know when you decide you want to see
Your grandkids
When I have them....
Cause it sure ain't mine....
It is my decision, however,
But the fault isn't mine....
So you think about it,
Since this poem is the most you've ever let me talk to you,
Always too busy,
Or whatever other excuse you had
To ignore
YOUR OLDEST SON!!!!!!!!!
I'd tell you whose fault it is,
But I don't want to ruin the surprise
For you....
