Why? Whatever did she do?
She might love you, but I do, too,
Does she ease away your pains?
Does she kiss away your strife?
Do you tell her that, someday soon, she will be your wife?
Do you promise her the world?
Or are words something you don’t need?
Do you love her the way that you love me;
Like a wound that can’t help but bleed?
When you look in her eyes, does eternity span?
Do you feel the world move in the palms of your hands?
Can you imagine a day, without her there?
My broken heart wonders, what do you care?
Fly me away from here, for we share a single soul,
Without you my world is empty, without you my heart is cold.
