Goodbye

Contributed by somnium on Thursday, 18th May 2006 @ 02:03:16 PM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

Goodbye dear friends it's been a blast
Alas this time has gone so fast
We weep as now we say goodbye
We know that time is short

I do not know how I will deal
With missing you and how I'll feel
For you've all made my life complete
And helped me learn to live

Through fights and fuss we had to come
Through petty fall outs and pain for some
And though we've had to make amends
We've all survived

And then the love that's found and lost
The feelings at our friendship's cost
With which we've had to deal and cope
And still come through

And now we take our seperate paths
And go to deal with life's cold wrath
To make it, grow up and stand tall
Our life's purpose

And yet our memories still live on
Just like the light rays from the sun
Still shine when dusk has been and gone
And stay alive
