Your Empire

‘Believe in me, yes I am your God
Your Allah and your Amon Ra
Bow at me now, unless you have no intention of living.’

Don’t your words sound pretty in the poetic element, my dear?

You said the world was your oyster
But I believe they’re extinct
Don’t you know it’s 2050, and not 2006?

You claimed you were a shooting star
Yes, and I am the teddy bear on your shelf
Just like you, I’m bright and yellow,
A facsimile of your own self.

I see the creases in your forehead
That’s what happens when you think
But weren’t you told to leave that to the philosophers?
Someone of your {dim-witted} nature attempting something like that
Could be quite dangerous

Yes, but I’m sure the world really wouldn’t mind.

You have pretension down to a science
But yet I’m sure you’re looking up my words in the dictionary as you read
And over-analyzing the picture that I left for you before I fled from your stupidity.

We’re all to blame for our actions
Yes, I only think it’s fair that our be held responsible
For destroying the souls of thousands of people by only uttering one word.

I imagine you think its takes great skill to be so useless.

‘Preposterous’ you would say, but it’s not just me
You bleached the world of color with you cruel ways
Your empire is just some plaster and some bricks, empty and mundane.
