Here in the abyss
We throw our lives away
Wishing on a blackend star
Hoping luck comes our way
Here in the abyss
Lies the broken hopes, dreams, and hearts
Of those left in the shadows
Forgotten by the sun
Here in the abyss
We wait for the darkness to lift
Knowing that it never will
And feeling our hope being sucked away
Here in the abyss
I see your face
Your broken promises
Washing away like tears in the dark
Here in the abyss
I cry in the night
Waiting for you
To pull me out
Here in the abyss
I die alone

Very moving, touching, heart wrenching, creative write. I think we all get sucked up into the abyss alone at times.
Good work.
