BACK AGAIN

Contributed by kareless on Wednesday, 17th May 2006 @ 03:26:15 AM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

These ups and downs and back agains --
seems no limit to which this force distends.

So much to do, so much is eating you...

An hour has gone by, back to hit it again;
just enough to stay high.

Such power this thing holds,
and the compromising lifestyle that it molds.

Stopped -- for the fair light of the stars has laid dim across the path that leads you home.

Following for miles - on this rocky road you roam.

Your strong will was displaced.
Now the outline of your chalky image has been retraced.

I think this is a great poem. I like the fact that you can admit you have a porblem...that is the first step to changing it:) I wish you well. You should check out my poem White Lies. I would hate to see that happen to you or the people around you.

Hugs~Lo

nice job...i know this struggle well. my best advice would be to remember (but first, realize) all of the pain and destruction this addiction has undoubtedly caused...and never forget!!

stay clean.
