Forgotten Son

Contributed by MicahStanfield on Tuesday, 16th May 2006 @ 11:04:22 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Where have you gone?
Where have you been?
Im myself, my only friend.
you have left me all alone.
what have you done?
now im just your forgotten son.

Dad where have you gone?
where have you been?
All I ever wanted,
was for you to be my friend.
Mother, why did it have to be this way?
looking over my shoulder just to play.
you always wanted me to be your good son,
then way make me feel like a no-one?
Im just your forgotten son.

Father why cant you see?
Im affraid to live life this way
the pain inside burns
all I have done from you is learn
Mother way do I have to be all alone?
Who am I suppose to learn from?
where am I suppose to be?
Is this what it's like to be a family?
Im a lost child
A forgotten son

father will you please help me?
this darkness it scares me.
these scars you have left me hurt
why can't you see?
mother, did you have to leave me?
what did I do so wrong?
over the years I have held on, now your gone
what do you two think?
this is fun?
my only friend seems to be this gun,
walking these lonly streets
your forgotten son

This is a really sad and really powerful poem. I pray that your life really isn't like this
