#300

Contributed by J_Ganey on Saturday, 27th July 2002 @ 02:39:32 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Upon reaching, poem number 300
I would like to pay tribute to a soul most respected
With just a mild touch of her heart
She has sown together a man who I had thought would be forever torn apart
She took the time to pick up, the fragments of me
And glued them back together with love, and set me free
Cutting the ropes, that had held me back all these years
Breaking the chains, and destroying all my fears
Holding me up, when my strength was gone
She has become, my very will to carry on
Along with the song playing in my heart
As for the changes in me, I don't know where to start
I could say,
How most of my black clothes have been put away
Or I could say tell of the changes in my general attitude
she will never fully know her love's full magnitude
Although I will try to explain
And I will show her my love has no refrains
But, I suppose my closing line no one would be able to guess
It's very simply, I love you, Amy Marie Hess
