Friendship shall(by ek_da_poet and the_young_poet)

Contributed by ek_da_poet on Monday, 15th May 2006 @ 11:20:13 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

flops on the couch and falls asleep
patiently approaches the neck and blows a warm kiss
after a good nite lyes there comfortable and smiles
no worries to be missed

snuggles against your chest
as we lay there about to rest
close by next to the fire place
with warm feelings
like butterflies in our stomachs

The crackling fire slowly warms us
As the cold night air surrounds
The crickets sound From our window

as we sit snuggled up
the moonlight shadows down
brings out the glowing light
within our friendship tonite

I know that if our friendship shall
break My heart shall rip So
as the cold night starts to nip
We scoot closer to the fire
As it sends small goosebumps
Along our skin

A mystery sensation we’re getting
Hopeful this will by no means end
Seeing that we be tucked into
Rejoice that we are not alone
Nature has selected the correct choice
Right timing, everything is picture perfect

This is so sweet. I really like it a lot. Hats off to both of you for a good write.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
