Great wings above an ocean of forest
Feather cut the air
She is a silhouette on the night sky
Engulfed by the tranquil silence
Her eyes search the forest floor
Set gaze on the lonely moon
While our eyes are always closed
Light breaks across the horizon
With it, an awakening world
She returns to the dying pine
In which she hides and waits

There are many wonders and secrets of nature. i think you captured a glimpse of one of those, the owl. I thought it was an interesting read. Good job.

What does a silhouette in the night sky look like? A little more precision would not be amiss. But not bad, do keep it up.

Isn't silhouette a fun word?
Lovely poem, you managed to capture the grace and beauty of an owl within your words, =).

My first impression of your work just doubled in respect and admiration. Good work! I particularly am moved by this poem for in seventeen wonderful years in the wilderness I've had dozens of totem blessings from visits and one in particular walk with the winged wise one.
On to that third post I saw!
