As The World Turns

Topic: Lifepoems

As the world turns
Life goes on
for some it moves
at a very fast pace
but others it slows right down to a crawl

People come and people go
throughout life inending
my world and life
has come so far
before it ground to a hult

I see everyone around me
moving on with their lives
and here I am trying to catch up
it seems like the people
I thought were my close freinds
have left me behined in the dark
oh sure they say how are you
but none of them see what
is actually going on
It feels like Im stuck in limbo
While others move on in life

The people who I though were my friends
never invite me to weddings, or to set up
there baby showers, or birthdays
or even tell me they are pregnant
what happend to all my friends
have they changed so much
or is it me?

When I tell them I'm still living at home
or that I'm still doing this or that
They look at me with pity in their eye
and say to themselves poor you poor you

You see I was never one to stick with
just one crowd
I mingled throughout highschool
It's like I slept through my highschool
life and when I awoke
phewf everyones got a house
a husbands and a kid or 2

Oh why did I have to end up this way
so emotionally battered and brused
Im like a used item that no one wants
or a dying Orcid that no one notices
or cares to tend
