mothers day and I should be dead

Contributed by mellymell on Sunday, 14th May 2006 @ 11:24:36 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Today is mothers days and I feel like i should be dead, my mother was never mother she was a drunk, a gambler, and a house cleaner. She never cared about her kids, when i was thirteen she left her family for another man. all the pain I felt through the years has all hit me again today, when i see her she looks at my wrists and asks where did you get those cuts and I yell at her and tell her what it is to her. I look at all the other families and see the mothers so loving, so caring. the pain that I have never showed anyone comes pouring out of my wrists, such a pretty red and i sit back and watch them flow out hoping that oneday nothing will ever hurt me again the way she has done!

Sometimes you need to tell people these things. Sure she wouldn't be happy about it but she has definitely made you unhappy. People don't always understand how much pain they could be inflicting on others no matter how obvious it may seem to you. If you can't tell her then don't talk to her. Give her the silent treatment or make her feel so separate from you that she feels rejected the way she seems to have rejected you. Don't cause yourself more pain... you are letting her win. She does not deserve the victory you are handing to her.

i know how u feel i had a horribel mother too. sometimes u just have to let go of your feelings and just tell her how horrible she is and just walk away. it might help u heal urself and get u away from destructive behavior. good write very emotional.

send it to her! Let your voice be heard! I hate drunks and alcoholics, they need to be kicked in the arse more than once!
