The clown is the man of no devious intent,
Who's help is always needed, given not lent,
Who makes people smile and helps them along,
When you feel left out, he makes you feel strong,
He dresses in garb colourful and light ,
He pretends to be stupid, but is really quite bright,
He is not a toublemaker, but a peacekeeping mate
And behind the grease paint, there are tears on his face,
For he is looking for something ,not rare,
Something he has never had, someone to care,
In his work he appears always to be glad,
But behind the smile, this clown is so sad,
What he would give to be part of a pair,
To rid himself of the loneliness he bears,
So at night he looks to the stars up above,
And wishes one day for someone to love,
So think of this clown, of no devious intent,
He has given all, and never once lent,
For what he would give for a little romance,
So lets hope in time he is given the chance
