The Darkness Inside

Contributed by AFHurley10 on Saturday, 13th May 2006 @ 03:28:03 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

My mind fades into the darkness
as I lie here tonight
the pain inside me yearns for healing
nothing i do can cure this feeling
it runs through my veins
it runs through my veins
I want a way out of this life
the pressure is breaking me
for what reason i choose not to explain
if i were to leave what would i lose
id be just another article in the daily news
after, i would be forgotten
then my existence would disappear
and long gone would be my last tear

I know how you feel.I have good news, though.
You can make art of your sadness.Take those feelings you have and do more than just put them into words...play with expression.I've discovered depression has one unique gift it can give us,the ability to make art of pain.Keep writing !! This poem is basic. There are expressions that are literally screaming to put into words...don't be afraid to be abstract! I 'll be looking for more by you.:)

Had that feeling many a time. The words express it very well. And yes also when you decide you would only be a headline, thats your subconscious telling you, nothing is worth ending your existence, because you would still be alone. Well thought out, thank you for sharing it. Sue x
