A cappella affluent
Paid the price
But missed the rent
For freeloading mice
And forgot to save
The day's focus
Of all their raves
And pre-hocus
Coughed up a copper
A side avenue
Despite what's improper
And overworn shoes
Three bars down and
One token short
Digging in sand
While searching cohorts
Slapping sides silly
And pushing up frowns
Could this be simile?
Like so many towns
Fun for the picking
ruffling the air
Thoughts are still kicking
As if they still care
Suffocate the survivors
And calculate the loss
Throw back the screwdrivers
But don't forget to floss

I really like the way you worded this. It's quite nice work. I really love the 5th stanza. It's written wonderfly. |
