With You To The Rescue

Contributed by The_Young_Poet on Friday, 12th May 2006 @ 10:31:45 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

When the time came around
When nothing was safe and sound
You wiped my tears
You took every fear
And carried it off my back

And when I sad
You brought joy
To my heart no matter what
Still holding me close
Getting me on my toes
To give you a peck

When I was mad
You’d laugh at my pout
Just chuckling about
You’d get me to smile
That seemed to stretch as far as a mile

Even at times when I felt
I wanted to be alone
As long as the phase took
You always thought it was worthwhile
Like you’re waiting in an aisle
To be with me
Waiting to be accepted again

Here I am
With you by my side
Taking me on this ride
Smiling far and wide
Me feeling all bubbly inside
You gaining your confidence
To get close to me again
Promising not to cause me pain
Making me feel sane

Both of us riding in this lane
Once again side by side
Hoping for nothing bad
Or sad
For us to both be glad
With no problems
To come in our way
Nothing to ruin our day

So here you come to the rescue
And I have nothing to lose
But something to gain
Your Love
