Life in a whole,
A sequence of events,
All planned out before we are conceived…so forget the word regret.
We come into the world,
Knowing nothing... we possess an empty slate,
Innocent in our presence,
Until the events that we create.
Fragile in existence,
Is the body we posses,
Over powered by emotion,
We live a continued sequence of events.
As we go about our lives,
We encounter people along the way,
Those we see not more than once in a life time,
And those that we come across again someday.
And all the beings around us,
Complete us in who we are,
We wouldn’t be the same if that man this morning,
Hadn’t slowed us down while driving in the car.
God he works in mysterious ways,
But that’s what makes this world amazing,
Our lives are just pieces that fit all together,
As we continue to go on living.

I agree with some of what you said. I do believe that every little thing that happens to us shapes us, I just don't believe our lives are planned out from the begining. I believe that our choices shape what and where we go. Just my two cents.
Nice write by the way. |

Amazingly true. Everything little thing that's happened to us, becomes a part of us whether we like it or not. That's why we can run, but we can't hide.

Yes and I think this is what makes our lives so special. You put it in words so well, you are truly an expressive being. Thank you for allowing us to read it.
Life is just a testing tool,
For we ourselves make up the rules,

I agree to the point that we are what and who we experience, but the old adage, what goes around, comes around reminds us that love is the best way to approach the "chain reaction" of life. Excellent write.

I believe your first stanza says it best... that our lives have been planned, approved and every moment is preconceived, perhaps by contracts with all the people we meet, prior to our coming here... Those contracts are for the betterment of those bound by the contract for whatever good or bad there is in them, to bring about the learning or teaching or emotion they provide for the other...
But then when we arrive here, we add to that plan, the opportunity of choice. In the end though, we are still the master of our own destiny, whether by the choices we make... or in some cases, the choices we choose not to make, by indecision, which are then made for us... |
