The night time draws in the candle lights die, from upstairs we hear a tiny Childs cry,
Tormented by nightmares and dreams in her head, the little girl lies crying tears in bed.
Her life is a shambles her innocence shattered, but what and who cares, her life never mattered.
Her 12 years of life were lacking in joy, this wouldn't have happened if she'd been a boy.
The little white lies the games that they played, the secrets she'd keep or otherwise be brayed.
The sneaking in rooms, the creeping in bed, the bad abusive adults who screwed with her head.
She lay there crying, sobbing quietly alone, her innocence broken, her childhood was stole.
In her room, on her cabinet, some water, a cup, a bottle of pills and a little prayer book.
So this was her life full of fear and dread, she had taken the tablets and soon would be dead.
For this life she had was cruel and rotten and with her last breath she'd be free and forgotten.

This is a horribly sad poem...but it is very very deep and a good piece. It's amazing the way you made me feel when i read it. It flowed beautifully. I hope this isnt about you. Its really good though...but sad:(

No it's not about me, But I feel Poetry and writing can be very powerful, and when touching on a subject like this it's difficult, I know this is a sad poem and touching, but I feel it allows the reader to understand how it might actually feel |

Sigh....this is really sad and so very touching.. especially at this time since it's very much a reality at my school lately.
