Slow Down
We live in a time, when life is so fast,
the future soon becomes the past,
sometimes its hard to keep the pace,
you feel your in a frantic race,
So its time to stop and think,
the years are gone in just a blink,
stop your self now, in your tracks,
sit back and rest, try to relax,
Close your eyes, feel the sun on your face,
drift off into a beautiful place,
listen to music, forget the time,
put up your feet, with a glass of wine,
Read a book, get lost in fiction,
remove from your life, worry and friction,
float of in to meditation, open your mind new sensations,
have a long luxurious bath, phone a friend have a laugh,
For a while leave worries behind,
take the moment to unwind,
so when your back in lifes fast pace,
you feel theres nothing you cant face.

| Just reading this piece of work made me feel relaxed, that's a very good quality to have when writing poetry. You should look into getting your work published, this is a very good poem and needs to be read by the fast pacing world! |
