UhHuh

Contributed by Clementine on Wednesday, 10th May 2006 @ 09:29:04 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

clearly I am wrong
without a real notion
you continue to move along
with a heavy weight of disguised emotion

and I'm suffocating...

release me from this fire
leather binding and it's all fine, I guess
I felt it, but only once
it then stood up and without hesitation
it up and left.

these dull razors
immorally soothing
fixated on destroying
every delicacy within me.

insecure feelings
are just weeping strings
a clouded mirage
a fruitless being

a mind unrested
the soul forgets to sleep
im just here and I'm drifting along..
where else could I be?
where else should I be?

for the sake of disposing
cut wide open and exposing
I sleep in pastures green
all the while
believing it's a dream

the crowding of city streets
tarred with asphalt and blackened with grief
I'm just around
I'm just here
floating aimlessly
like a leaf

It would be easy to tear
but I'm blinded by heat
my reflection tarnished from years of smiling
all the while dragging my feet

here I sit
damaged and broken
left with guilt
and an unfinished quilt
that drapes on every word that you have spoken

I've halted this heart until everything comes to an end
I've tried to revel in the curve and in the bend
but a message that's been sent cannot be resend
and it's an acception within myself
that we've all equaled out in the end.

the title is fantastic..
some of the best poetry I've read here in a while-

I particularly like the nonconformity:

the absence of puncuation
and..
NOT capitalizing the first letter of every line..(ughh)

5 from me on this-

B
