In My Shoes

Contributed by Lo2681 on Wednesday, 10th May 2006 @ 07:32:23 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Sit here in my mind for just one day,
Do the things I do,
Say the things I say.
Feel the way I feel right now,
And then tell me you still want to walk away.

Cradle yourself in your own arms tonight,
Deal with my feelings,
Fight your own fight.
Disregard our memories,
And then tell me leaving this behind is right.

We always want what we can’t have,
Yet we never hold on when it’s in our grasp.
But the sad reality and truth always is,
The past isn‘t something that you can relive.

Make the mistakes I made with you,
Take your love away,
As I deal with the truth,
Avoid what you see,
You never really loved me…all this is my proof.

Wow, powerful heart-hitting-matter~! Brilliantly and passionately ascribe, well done; I love when someone tells it like it is...

Outstanding display of emotion in this one, you have shown us that we must first attempt to walk in another person’s shoes before passing judgment. Excellent write.
