Afraid

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Yes I'm afraid, but not afraid to admit it
Yes I'm scared, but I dare tell the world
Yes I'll cry, but i don't care if you see
Yes I'm afraid, but not afraid to admit it.

I cry everyday but the world knows why
I'm ashamed of my past but the world knows my secerets
I've fallen but the world doesn't need to help me up
I cry everyday but the world knows why

I long for a true love, but you know that i haven't one
I'm desparate for a chance, but no chances come my way
There's no hope left here, but I'll tell you anyway
I long for a true love, but you know that I haven't one

Yes, I'm Afraid, but not Afraid to admit it.

Very sweet, honest and brave in its theme and I really like how you structured this poem. It speaks to my heart as well.

Touching. I know many of us have such feelings, but many of us prefer to look at them through filters, ascribing them to any of various outside influences or people, instead of recognizing that they lie close to the heart of all of us, simply because we live.

Keep writing.

Andrew

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
