These arms of mine are empty.
But they’re open wide for you.
I didn’t know what hit me,
When you said you loved me too.
But since you told me those words,
To my face, then on the phone,
I find I am every night and day,
For the most part all alone.
My arms are always open,
And aching to be holding you.
But since you never come there,
If I left what would you do?
If I did walk out of the door,
Would I at all be missed?
For my arms are always empty.
And my lips are seldom kissed.
