Rewind that toy soldier
to march on forward
one hand holding a rifle
the opposite grasped
a memorable picture
my comrades have been together
since the beginning of training day
the hot wretched obstacle course
straight to the enemies front line
the buddies i have endured such pain
eating a feast with many portions
singing on top; of military jeeps
these days are surreal
stand tall, chin up
with the almost bold army cut
what life we have of this doing
when will the fighting end
