Death's grip

Contributed by nothingness on Tuesday, 9th May 2006 @ 12:16:12 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Eyes are closed as thoughts race through my mind
If I do this I can’t go back there’s no way to rewind
I know it’s what I want more then anything before
Just to sleep not to wake up, remember nothing more
I know what to do and why it must be done this way
I just can’t keep going on I fear to face another day
So long have I been waiting for things to turn around
But the days just keep coming, my cries for death still unsound
This is my choice, no ones fault except my own
I know you were there, I know I was never alone
But still you can not see how hard it is always being afraid
To scared to trust or love, always thinking I will be betrayed
I know you never hurt me but just how long could that last
I am sure you will be just like every other backstabber from my past
Thanks to you for all you have done to try and keep me alive
You really where the one that made it easier for me to survive
But I am done trying so hard just to please everyone around me
I am going to give in deaths firm grip and forever sleep in sweet harmony

Its not right, you are just taking the easy way out. We all have these problems in life and sometimes it looks like things wont change. I went through the darkness of my own hell for well over 5 years and not until just the past few weeks have I been able to see the error of my ways. There is someone out there right now who loves you and does not want to see you die.

hey, first off, in my opinion there is no justification for suicide, i've read books upon books about people's who suffer extremely (e.g. concentration camps) and these people are still alive today. They chose to fight and not give up. Your poem, however beautiful and compelling does not justify suicide. Things may not be good now, but what about the future? One day things can end up marvelously.

Hang in there, people do love you and people do care, in fact, if i didn't care why would i even comment?

-Kevin

Dear friend

ife is awfully precious and a great gift of God.
eems to me you have had some bad experiences, like we all have had and still make every day.
But you also experienced selfless love, -why don't you just reciprocate that love and expand it instead of sniffing life out.
May the Lord make you realize this.
Blessings
Elizabeth
