The white lady sits in a castle made of glass,
A wordly wise , but home loving lass,
A sensitive sort of no devious intent,
Just loves to write words, so well meant,
She writes of the distress and of the sorrow,
Of lost love, and found love, and what of tomorrow,
She aches for a future, that's normal and bright,
Someone to comfort her, to be there each night,
She talks of her past, those happier lands,
When love and friendship , walked hand in hand,
Where her future was mapped out,"until we part",
But when death came along it broke her heart,
But she is strong, and weathered the storm,
In a matter of years, a new chapter is born,
For though she had loved, she had also lost,
She was ready to live again, no matter the cost,
So she wrote down the words, some strange, most true,
And offered the lines of the poems down to you,
For she is not looking for fame or fortune from this,
Just to express her true feelings, of sorrow and bliss,
So she met many others who shared her view,
And through this met necrow and stuck on you,
They write in the same vein, as the lady of white,
So they follow each other, with poems in the night,
So the white lady is happy, and full of glee,
To see words of the poets there to see,
So keep on writing, for this sensitive lass,
While she watches over you in her castle of glass.

This is a tribute to White Lady's strength and courage and inner wisdom to reinvent herself from sorrow. As a lot of poets on this site, she lives on an Island, a very small island, her castle of glass.
Thank you, British buddy; I was honored to preview.

Surely the world must know that beauty can be sweet sorrow. As this, showing veins of sorrow, is eloquently and wondrously beautiful. You touch me deeply with this; thank you for sharing.

Kahlil Gibran once said: "... joy and sorrow are inseparable. . . together they come and when one sits alone with you . . . remember that the other is asleep upon your bed." |
