Sestina

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

We go through life collecting millions of memories
Dreading, regretting, and pondering possibilities
Things we could have been and words that went unsaid you can only imagine
The words and encouragement of others can greatly inspire
Giving a chance to escape and reflect
Allowing the worst of things to dissolve and decay

Once we let the hurt and pain decay
We create a vacant space for new memories
On these memories we wish to pause and reflect
Opening gateways and increasing our possibilities
Hoping for chances to give words to inspire
Expanding our thoughts and giving us the ability to imagine

Allow your mind to open and imagine
Put all of the outside world aside and allow it to decay
Search within for some sign or something that will inspire
Erase and eradicate old thoughts and embark on new memories
Consider and confide into new possibilities
Take some time to rewind and on your day reflect

Enter the valley of your mind and let the day reflect
Or picture yourself walking along the shore, the water covering your feet, imagine
You've broken free from negativity's chains and opened possibilities
Escaping the nightmare, leaving it to dampen and decay
No longer will it haunt you and destroy your blissful memories
An omen from your surroundings will greatly affect and inspire

You may ask of this omen and how it will inspire
It may create a mirror image of a previous event on which you reflect
Once again opening your path to search for new memories
Something so touching or healing your mind cannot imagine
By accepting the omen you burn the terror and leave it to decay
You cannot wrap your mind around the number of possibilities

Countless, endless numbers of new found possibilities
If you encourage others and lift up and inspire
Choke the life out of hate, turn it to ash, decay
Become symbiotic with another, teach them to take the positive and reflect
Show them how to enter their mind, expand and imagine
Give them the knowledge to desecrate the bad and to sculpt and create prosperous memories

Lovely--and long--poem. I liked it!
