Take Me Away

Point to the endless sky at midnight,
And show me a shooting star.
Listen to me obsess over pointless drama,
And show me that my words matter.
Lay your head on my lap, sing to me softly,
And show me every side of you.
Role play a royal kingdom,
And show me happily ever after.
Hold my hand and run down the hill,
And show me what it’s like to be a kid.
Kiss me at the top of the ferris wheel,
And show me teenage love.
Tell me that I’m beautiful,
And show me that you mean it.
Completely take my breath away,
And show me what this world’s made of.
