Grief
|
Baring shoulders broad and wide
caring, loving, holding, dieing
to shattered hearts or weary minds
to eyes that feel like crying
its greed!---- I see there's love to gain
of my informal tithing
these seeds I’ve sown---I wait to reap
Sprouts of Love-- will soon be rising
I’ve given all necessities
For empathic yields--
to gain
with nurishment of tears that fell
while drinking, holding-- feeling pain
My soul, like sun shown down--on them
those hearts, the minds--
those eyes
Now mine, They are-- and dark and weary
I search for shoulders---or hands so wise
now searching Gardens--raking rows
I wander, walk, wade marshy ways
for harvest moons
but, finding absence
I'm now, rethinking planting days---
I now know those seeds --and deeming them infertile
no fruit, no nectar---
of wheat,
no blade
Without my heart, new seeds I'll save
For when the stars again say,” plant,” ---
Nightshade--
