Beautiful

Contributed by Exodus on Sunday, 7th May 2006 @ 11:28:51 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

I made the warmth and almost I took care of you
I had you there, in my hands
It was awful
Awfully beautiful
I turned into a butterfly
Without wings
One that used to be beautiful
You changed as if in front of me
Peeling away the old tattered threads of a battle-driven flag
I asked if I could keep you
It was the only thing to say for all I could know
I asked you everyday for a century
You always said no
I used to think of angels
I saw your wings burn
Falling down as ashes
Awfully beautiful
It wasn't the same
I stared at the ground
Your face
The ground
I look away
You pulled the trigger
My life flashed
Instead you hit my wings
On the glass
The only specimen
With a crack
Like a baseball bat
It was like you didn't have wings
They were really mine
Paralyzed by my metamorphisis
I can't comprehend the position of this
This town
This feeling
With the windows rolled down
My wings grow back
The pin disappears
I am no longer a dying butterfly
But beautiful
And sadistic
Full of contradicting
Malice
Contempt
Because you are malicious
And so utterly delicious
I don't know anything but you
With a boom bang boom bang bang bang
Like thunder
Rolling through the sky
Like a snare drum with a lump in its throat
Horribly beautiful
