Silence

Contributed by somnium on Sunday, 7th May 2006 @ 03:57:23 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Sit down and slow your breathing down
Close your eyes and make not a sound
It's time to listen

As your eyes close
Your hearing becomes more acute
Every little whisper or tinkle becomes
Amplified

But you must seek beyond this
And find the silence

Picture each sound, give each a colour
Then find the black
And focus

Draw it in and concentrate
On it alone
Don't even contemplate that there is sound

Then listen
For in the silence shall you hear
The only voice so subtle
He can make the silence
Speak

Breathe it hear it taste it see it smell it feel it
His Voice so huge yet nothing there at all
For only in the nothing is the everything
Only in the Darkness is the Light
Only in the silence is the voice

And so sweet shall it be
You may have to wait
But it Will come
And you
Shall never hear
A
Noise
Again

It is a very different concept. I, myself, never thought of silence that way. But it is beautiful.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
