A Sonnet in Praise of Blu-Tac.

Topic: HumorPoetry

A Sonnet in Praise of Blu-Tac.

Azure, maliable factory-made substance.
Kind friend to those with blank wall and prints of stars
Or softly-scented Magic Trees fixed in cars.
Probably known by a different name in France,
I’m free to discover given half a chance.

Though largely unknown to the Romanov Tsars
Blu-Tac may have held together the Russias.
Don your dancing shoes to do the Blu-Tac dance.

Arch rival of sellotape and drawing pins,
Nemesis of Pritt Stick and all label glues.
A kind heart and marks on walls its only sins.
If you don’t like Blu-Tac, I don’t like your views.

This little blue friend is up to every task,
If you want a job done you just have to ask.

Oh dear, you are a star! LOL
Where would we be without it?
I'm with you, in the front line of admirers,
when it comes to Blu-Tac.
Tremendously amusing,

Den

very nice sonnet, faiton. it's always nice to read love-poetry for stationary products.

my friend once used blu-tac as an earplug to help him sleep. but he didn't use enough, and it fell into his ear. now it won't come out, it is there for life.

he had a vision of himself dead, as a skeleton, all skin stripped to the bone, and just a small lump of blu-tac in the hollow of his skull where the ears were. and in 200 years, an archeologist will come along and say 'how useful!'- and use the bit of blu-tac to stick a note to his head- 'unknown hominid' or something...

cheers, joe

My stapler wants to type she loves you, but alas, no hands. Instead, I'll sing your praises, for shining your obtuse and quirky spotlight of poetic observation on that quiet achiever.

**** knows what you're on about!

But I love it!

Random stuff! (but not totally I believe)

are we talking about that stuff thats stuck a generation of pornographic pictures to the walls of the lonely and sometimes desparate?!

Seriously anyone who can write a sonnet too blutac deserves to be knighted for their inguenity..

I doff my cap to you!

Bloody marvelous stuff.

J.
