The Death of my Life

The Death of my Life

All is still, all is quiet as I gaze through the window there is a strange sound of nothingness, tranquility itself surrounds me like a swirling fog on a cold winters morning and the deafening silence is almost to much to handle, is this what you hear and feel when you have passed over?

Has the world suddenly stood still for that brief moment, as if time itself has taken a break just for me and in this moment of solitude to take in the deep breath of the air that we all lust for, like something in life that we want but can never have?

And for that moment that one brief moment in time I take a breath and feel absolute peacefulness that fills my soul, and the nothingness clears the dark vanishes and the warmth of light enters my heart like a bolt of lightening from the heavens above.

With a warm heart and a soul full of peace my body stiffens, for the last time I look upon the earth and fear nothing for I have, for that brief moment in time seen the other side and no longer fear the darkness or the loneliness for I am heading to a true place of beauty that exists only in the hearts of angels and in the minds of the innocent.

I am not Afraid of what I am about to enter but of what I leave behind in this life. And so as my soul departs my stiffened rigid body my thoughts and gaze leave the window my troubles quieten and my only grievance is that I had no one to share that last solitary moment that was my life.

This is an excellent, deep poem. The writer did a very good job on this
