pit

joy joy in my mind
trying trying not to cry
lies lies in my eyes
feelings feelings will be killed

running running from the past
never never looking back
turn around and turn to stone
souls souls forever gone

when i close my poem book
i fall down apon my knees
cring for the ones of stone
tring to forget the past

crawling across a pit of glass
just to recieve something that free
but i continue to crawl to the light
for once i get there i'll be free

but before i touch the light
a darkness comes and pulls me back
gives me drugs and women to *****
but now i'm back where i started

i look at the women
then i look at the pit
and i follow the leader
and i flick off my father

years go by as they always do
and i find my self at the pit again
then like before i fall to my knees
and i jump back in and start to crawl

but just like before
the darkness took me back
and told me something new
that there is nothing up there for me

so i fall back into darkness
but then something happened
a hand came through the darkness
and carried me across the pit

it put me down and patted my back
then disappeared into the clouds
i closed my eyes just for a second
and when i awoke the pit was gone

i went back to my house
and went in the closet
and grabbed my gun
then joined my father

......i wrote this poem for you.....the people who.....are lost.....are lonley.....are dying.......cause if there is a god.....i would rather be in water than fire.......

Wow. Honestly, wow.
There is so much emotion here, it's hard to take it all in.
This poem has so much depth I'm just... speachless. All I can say is,
Keep up the great work.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
