'In Love? In Pain?'

Contributed by sim on Friday, 5th May 2006 @ 02:33:14 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Looks like she's in love again,
Once again towards the killing pain?

Fallen once, yet no lesson to learn,
Why does her heart still cry n yearn.

It was growing along down the line,
Why didnt she sense no whiff, no sign.

They were laughing and joking and fooling around,
Never once did they stop and listen to the sound.

Sharing and caring as they went along,
Had anyone dreamt, things could go so wrong.

Deceit, hypocrisy and cowardice from the past,
Had left her bitterly shattered and aghast.

The pangs that brewed left her forlorn,
Within she yearned for a love of her own.

She looked around and found him standing near,
She stopped and wondered 'had he always been there?'

He stood there smiling-held out his arms,
The emmotions gushed and crashed into swarms.

She found herself wrapped in his warm embrace,
The tears, the agony had left no trace.

The chaos, the cacophony, the world faded away,
Was she thinking the love was to stay?

Curled up against his beating heart,
She dreamt of a life, a beautiful new start.

The beating stopped, the warmth turned cold,
The blanket slipped, far beyond her hold.

She found the colors change, the emmotions die,
Was it a dream? a blunder? a lie?

Would the wounds heal? would it ever mend?
Would she get it back from him? her long-lost friend?
