Flavored simple honey suckle rose

Topic: goodbyepoetry

Flavored simple honey suckle rose, her hands were small empty canvases pleading the sky come clear cool blue.

She was most beautiful when failed; a granite snow slept over the world while we waited-she was beautiful, walking blue gown bare foot bandaged wrist and tears- a mute stench lingered in the pages of the sky; we sat, bored and stoned faces staring at blanched, immaculate walls.

Crescent moon a calico, she spat the window blood black red raining on a Sunday; her throat smiled wild horrid smiles; she was beautiful failed, broken and fallen. She was beautiful smiling, laughing honey suckle rose and brilliant brown eyes.

I could never understand it; her so full of life, her so encouraging; she gave me a reason to love myself; she gave me a reason to begin. I always thought that she would be there. I always thought that she would stay.

Flavored simple, honey suckle rose, she was beautiful broken brown eyes breathing the moon a calico. She is, and forever will be, yellow red and Sunday blue, painting the empty canvases of her hands.

Gosh, I love this poem.

The words are stunning, and the imagery is stunning. It's very powerful.

That first line is truly beautiful.

Great write,
Phyllis xxx
