Maybe I'll see her today,
She'll look in my direction,
Wave... Smile and be happy to see me.
Maybe today I won't tense up,
She'll brush me as she walks by,
Maybe her hand will reach for mine.
Maybe, just maybe... She'll say my name.
The way she moves is a sin,
The way her body teases and calls to me.
Just the thought that she may show up, draws my eyes.
And to think that she may be thinking of me...
To know that she is thinking of me...
I...
That voice, and those smooth vowels...
Those deep eyes and bright stars within them...
Her entire existence, wants to defy nature.
No woman can be this alluring, no woman was meant to be.
She was like the ocean, drifting in and out...
We would talk, and then not...
I would call, and then not...
We would greet one another, and then not.
Look at each other, and then not.
Oh how my life, my world has dried up,
These dry and sandy shores now reach far beyond the horizon,
Each time I try and approach that threshold,
the water just draws further back.
Maybe... just maybe, today will be that day.
Maybe when she passes by, she'll want to stop.
Maybe when I'm alone she'll come to me.
Maybe she'd be thinking of me.
Maybe today we can talk,
Maybe today...
All my prayers for today.
Please Lord, let today be that day.

| Hey Aquaelius-this is a good write-I read your reason for the write-it seems as though you like someone and then someone else is in the way-you wnat to chat with that person-but in the back of your mind you probably cant or shouldnt-I like the poem keep it up. |
