You're holding your knees to your head again
Hiding the tears as if I can't see them
I know what's going through your head
I'm not what you expected
And I'm sorry about that
You took a chance on me
And I'll never forget that
Look at me now
Because this is who I am
Sitting next to you in silence
This time I mean it when I say it
Those three words
Remind me why we did this in the first place
I guess we lost we had back then
Although nothing has changed for me
But it's changed for you instead
I'm not what you expected
And I'm sorry about that

The biggest mistake of our lives
May be close at hand

I thought that this bit of writing was very amazing. i like three things in poetry.
1. its real and gritty 2. it has a solid point.
3. its honest. i think youve got all of them. good work
