Pool of blood

Contributed by Alma on Wednesday, 3rd May 2006 @ 02:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Dark and beautiful, he was lying in a pool of blood
She was standing over him in her long, white dress
Graceful and strong, she knew the danger when she touched his warm lips
He begged for mercy as life was passing him by

He wanted love more than he needed death
She was too innocent to know all the life’s tricks
She showed him light on her one-way road
No turning back when you’ve already thrown the stone

She cried her life over his lifeless body
The way was wicked for the strangers
They managed to kill their love
Lust saved their breaths for one last sunrise

He was gone and she moved on
The next time she passed by a helpless little life
She knew better to cut him free of life
And set herself free of pain

And moments later
She was lying in a pool of blood
They were all on a way to a new pure puppet show
They were all once drowning in a pool of blood

"He begged for mercy

...I love those lines. Beautiful.
Take care,
David
