Fading Hunger

Contributed by Lone_er on Tuesday, 4th February 2003 @ 10:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Where does the heart retreat
Where pain cannot follow
How does the soul become full
When now it seems so hollow
I no longer feel your need
No longer detect your fire
I am left alone
Hiding from desire
Russ
Fading Hunger
I know you still love me
And oh so much I love you
Yet there is something different
I think you know it’s true
You no longer have a thirst for me
No, not with an all-consuming desire
The flames no longer rage unfulfilled
For my touch to put out the fire
Your passions are so calm now
Regulated and under control
My heart misses the excitement
The lust you use to show
If for me your fires of passion
Are now fading into the night
I beg you not feel guilty
You’ll always be my Angel of Light
But my fire continues to burn intensely
And always it shall be
My hunger remains unappeased
Until you’re lying naked next to me
Russ
