Fade to Grey
How long have I been like this…
Living in this dark daze
Walking through grey mist
Mind quietly ablaze
The Sun no longer rises
The moon hangs dead in the sky
Months fly by in moments
As the seconds slowly die
Days bathed in starlight
Nights spent in despair
But everything will be alright
Because I no longer care
I took a few wrong turns
And stepped into this void
Where the flame of apathy burns
As my life is softly destroyed
Names and faces dance away
And slip nimbly from my mind
The last traces fade to grey
And wear away with time
There’s a game life plays
There’s no way to win
How many empty days
Till I relapse again
So how much longer
How much more can I take
These feelings only grow stronger
As I realize life was a mistake

Oh......dark, deep and so much to the write, that has been released.! Hm... gives the reader time to intake all..and seems the writer, wants to as well.! Reach inside and grasp.....
