They say I'm selfish yes I know I am
Cuz this native knows how to get things done
Thank you folks for helping me out
But right now in my life I got scores to settle on
Pushin away is what they been sayin
Love or no love I'm gonna be ok
Lots of support I know they gave
So what u want me ta do if at home huh
You say I"m angry wit no feelings at all
But watch out now you gonna reap wat u sow
I did my time n troubles and all
Why u keep saying that I'm pushin you all down
Maybe ya right but maybe is maybe
Jes be glad I'm still one of ya babys
Gimme some room so I can find my own
Sometimes life is somethin I gotta do alone
Remember when I started to grow up
I still ain't forgot pops wat u taught me aight
Cuz I still believe in my Heavenly God
It might end up bein somethin that won't work at all
But one thing tho gonna keep movin along
Like dat one crew said in dat show VH 1
Whoa I know I got things to prove
But why should I do things other that need done
Jes let me be me till I'm happy from above

it's true. We really do all need our own space to grow. But it's always hard for parents to give you that space. They made mistakes and felt pain. They need to let you do the same. But naturally a parent wants to protect you from the world. Just remember their intentions hold love. With that said, you do have to do it on your own. Those who don't are lost when their parents can't be there.
