Our father, which art in heaven
Though we may take as deities money and power
And call you by many names according to what we believe is right
Hallowed be thy name
How often we use it in rage, despair and frustration
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven
Your kingdom raped of resources, of its beauty
When did you ask us to leave you this carcass ?
Would we soil the soil in the garden of Eden ?
Give us this day our daily bread
Now we are demanding, no longer are we asking
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those that trespass against us
Give us the right to do as we please with no conscience
To butcher and slaughter those we consider enemies and their innocent families
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
Allow us to steal on the basis that it should be ours
But let us not be punished as we ourselves no longer deem it a crime
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory
Yet we keep it here, redesigned, more efficient and up to date
Forever and ever
Amen.

So often I battle with those Bible sellers at the door about how God doesnt want many things when they tell me about Gay people not being God's will. In me opinion, you have it pretty accurate on how the world has become to this day. Perhaps one day there was an Eden as it was discribed in the Bible but not today..no..too much war and mass destruction. Like I said in one of the forums, many religions and many wars about it but there is only one God really. Just named differently. Many impressions about the Bible but it all comes down to the same thing, Love eachother.
Provoking poem for sure but much more true to the truth.

| I say I'm not religious but more spiritual. Earth/Nature is my "god". I liked the piece. I remembering growing up in Catholic school and having to read this very prayer. I think you've made it real. Some say that earth is hell or earth is purgatory... I'll I can say if there is one "god", one creator....then they must be extremely disgusted. Thanks for sharing.
