Happy Birthday Mom.
I’m Sorry I forgot.
It wasn’t my intention.
But just like a mother, you didn’t complain.
Happy Birthday Mom.
I know I have nothing to show.
I’m sorry I didn’t even get you a card
But just like a mother, you still love me.
Happy Birthday Mom.
You didn’t even mention it was here.
You went through the day. Just like any other.
But just like a mom, you kept your spirit up.
I wish I had the strength you do.
The way you handle things.
With care and patience.
You’re so beautiful, though it may not show.
On the inside I care, more than you’ll ever know.
Happy Birthday Mom.

Wow ham323, this is beatifully written, I know that your mother will cherish this poem more than any store bought card any day. A hand written poem or message always seem to mean more to a parent when it comes from their child. I have a feeling that she enjoyed it more than I did.
