I am

Contributed by Archie on Thursday, 27th April 2006 @ 09:06:12 AM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

I am the deep well in the middle of the desert
full of wisdom for the weary traveler

I am the pages in a book being written
I am the undiscovered story

I am the ram who stands on the peak of the mountain
longing for one more adventure

I am the eagle soaring amidst the clouds
The falcon diving toward his prey

I am the old man filled with wisdom
and the young man who dreams

I am the gazzele who starts,
laughing at the dogs who chase
"You can't catch me"

I am the river cutting through the dry parch lands
and the first rains to fall in the desert after the dry season

I am the diamond in the heart of the earth

I am the resolution of the adventurer
climbing the mountain

I am the thirst of the man in the dry desert
and the strength of him who swims the ocean deep

I am bound in the flesh of a man
but my spirit soars high and free

My goal is the cup of water
that quenches the deep thirst

I seek more than knowledge
I long for more than expirience
I want more than fame or fortune

My goal is unattainable in a lifetime
but achieved at death

My eyes watch
My ears listen
My soul wants

. . . I am

Fantastic write, fantastic insight, full of an awareness chock full of nature's stability through instability and a wiser man's admission of goals unattainable in a single lifetime of assigned mortality. Good choices of wisdom. I can read this man all day long! If the day has 40 or 50 hours to it. Thanks, Arch.
