Columbine Copycat

Contributed by crossmyheartwithaknife on Monday, 3rd February 2003 @ 10:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

I've thought about it before.
To maybe go columbine on my high school.
To destroy the lives of people I hate.
To walk right through the doors,
of my school with my closest friend.
We would be dressed all in black,
and carrying guns.
Killing anyone in the way,
of our plan for revenge.
We would kill all the people,
that ever hurt us.
Kill all the people,
that are stuck up and think their better,
than everyone and especially us.
Killing all the jocks and preps.
Killing any person,
that ever started crap with us before.
How great would it feel?
To be just like eric and dylan?
To do everything they did,
and everything they would of.
To treat them as our idols?
Or even better . . .
to treat them as what they wanted.
To treat them as our gods.

Great Write, Not only have I thought about it, I nearly did.. Im just now In 8th grade and that was atleast 2 years ago when I was going to..I cant remember why I didnt tho, I was either grounded from my gun, or my mom wouldnt buy me anymore bullets, since I'm too young to buy them on my own..for obvious reasons..etc..but still...good write..keep it up

ok, cross... this was a very very good poem, but the subject matter is somewhat personable to me... im sorry, please excuse what im about to say... i was at columbine...i knew eric, i knew dylan...i had known dylan since 6th grade, we were friends, not close ones, but we were... i never would have thought he was capable of anything like that... so because of what i saw, what i went through, what pain i know eric and dylan put soo many INNOCENT (although some were guilty) people through. i am sorry people treat you like they do, but that doesn not mean you should pass the hatred on, shouldnt it stop...at YOU???? cross, i looked straight at my once good friend when he pulled the trigger on someone i knew...i saw the pain, the hate, i saw everything...hell, i felt it! not only because of what was going on, but because i felt it too. its sick when it does give you some joy...eric and dylan stood up to the people who knocked them down for so long, but they did it the wrong way. believe me, i know better then anyone else what HS is like...how people are when your differnet... i have 2nd and 3rd degree burns about my body, plus a very mangled face because of my father...and when you in HS, no one wants to know or understand how you got to be so bruised, but they dont care either. its not their problem...but because of some stupid insecurity in their life...they had to put me down... so maybe certain people do have the right to revenge themselves, but not that way... so please, for the sake of the survivors of columbine...the friends, the families of columbine...and your school....dont do this, dont open old wounds...im done blabbering, im sorry...

Lindsey
