Trapped here alone
Stuck in this hell
Left torn to pieces
From when I first fell
Can’t see straight
Will never breathe right
Its getting cold
Can’t win the fight
Cast out in the world
Without a helping hand
Fallen on the floor
Can’t find the strength to stand
I need something here
I need something now
My life feels so empty
But I don’t know how
I need the tension of love
Don’t think my heart will let it in
Because everything went so black
Like my life was purged in sin
The days toll on
The nights they slip away
My eyes are craving color
But all they see is grey
Depression is too low
But happiness is just too high
I can find no in-between
While in this melancholy sigh
My heart grows dim
I can find no reason to stay
The only thing that remains
Is this everlasting day

Nice poem. I like the lines,
"My eyes are craving color
But all they see is grey"
...it's pretty groovy. |
